Church Renovation (a Melia family project)

2 churches were completed:- St Dominic’s in Bwengu and St Augustine’s in Thumbi
The transformation of these churches is a testament to the faith of these village people.
The true effects of what took place will be felt long after we have gone.

St Dominic’s Primary School Building

The teacher’s house now just needs concrete roof tiles.
The 2 block classroom has reached ceiling height

Bwengu Full Primary school building

The school sign was completed.
3 classrooms were renovated and just await roof tiles.

Bwengu Medical Centre Renovation (a project completed by Anne & Ray Tutt)

A transformation has taken place with:
- new sterilization equipment
- new doors, locks furniture
- running water installed.
- replacement windows, fly screens.
- new bedding
- new lighting
